Trois jours d’escale

It's strange to walk into a clinic with a smile on your face, in the middle of worried people and family meetings. Noah came with me on Monday, then left in the evening, around 7pm. It was raining outside, but I was safe. I drank the soup and then ate the beans they'd brought me.

The next day, I waited patiently until 4.30pm in a royal blue dress and transparent slippers. It was warm in the room, warmer than at home. The lady picked me up and drove me to the place. Twenty minutes later, I was lying there with three people taking care of me. Their machines were intriguing, but I couldn't watch them for very long.

I woke up at around 7:30 p.m. I knew this because the nurse had finished her shift and was waiting to take me home before leaving. Shortly afterwards, I got back into bed and sent Noah a message.
"Hello my love, everything's fine, I'm happy, I've just got back to the room".

It was November 29, 2022, five days before my 20th birthday.
